I met my friend Paul eight years ago while we were both working as editors at the same home decor magazine. But little did I know that he and I would become really close friends throughout the yearsandthat he would eventually invest in, and help open a very cool restaurant in Williamsburg…进入新地点,MID|NIGHTS!Located on North 6th street in Brooklyn, right off Bedford Ave, it’s one block from the L train, making it super convenient to get to whether you live in the neighborhood or not. It’s the perfect mix between a hip dinner spot with a fun late night scene and DJ who spins on the weekends, and a bustling brunch and after work happy hour spot, boasting a lovely patio perfect for sipping sparkling rosé.You can check out the menuhereand see more photos of the spacehere!
I first visited the restaurant on Friends & Family night to celebrate the opening, but knew I wanted to go back to see everything in the light of day and enjoy the pretty outdoor space. I broughtKrystalwith me to check things out and we had an amazing time relaxing in the shade, sipping on rosé and eating our body weight in the all the food that Paul ordered for us to try.
Chef Marcellus Coleman,who is a former切碎赢家和11个麦迪逊公园明矾,破坏了我们ton of yummy things off the menu, including an excellent quinoa burger, chilled oysters, curried mussels and grilled flatbread, to name a few. And that was just the food!


The cocktails are super tasty and inventive, and besides the chilled rosé that we had accompanying our meal, we also sampled a few drinks that the bartender whipped up for us. My favorite was the “Lime All The Time” which is made with tequila, and the Bill Murray, which is made with white rum. Both were equally refreshing!
